Why describe the unit?

A complete description reassures applicants and limits questions: layout of the home, size of each room, equipment provided, floor plan. This information also feeds the public property page.

Add rooms and their equipment

  1. Open your rental, then Rentals > Units and click the name of the unit.
  2. In the Flat layout part, choose the Private areas tab (reserved for the tenant) or Common areas (shared: flatshare kitchen, laundry room...).
  3. Click Add a room: enter its type, name and size in m², then tick its equipment (bed, air conditioning, television, fitted kitchen...).
  4. Confirm. The room appears in the list; you can edit or delete it at any time.

Declare the bedrooms as private areas and the shared kitchen, living room or bathroom as common areas: each flatmate clearly sees what they have.

Arrange the unit floor plan

In the Technical details block of the unit page, click Arrange the rooms of the unit.
  1. Available rooms: drag a room onto the plan or click it to add it.
  2. Unit layout: select a room to move it, rotate it by 90° or resize it with its corner handles. Choose its shape: rectangle, square, L-shaped or U-shaped.
  3. Doors and windows: place each opening on one of the four walls of the room; for a door, specify the opening direction and the leaf.
  4. Click Save. The Undo button cancels the last change.
The plan is schematic: dimensions are expressed in grid units, without a metric scale.

Drag the rooms (1), adjust them (2), save (3) and view in 3D (4).

View the plan in 3D

From the layout, click View the 3D plan to see the home in volume. The saved plan is also offered to visitors on the public property page.
