Why this information
To guarantee listings are published by real owners, the platform asks what share of the building you own. It is also used in the accounting file (owner and unit ownership share).
When creating a building
The Create a rental form asks for the ownership share (1 to 100%). If you own the building 100%, an ownership certificate is required (PDF, JPG or PNG, 10 MB max), along with a sworn statement that the information is accurate. See Create a rental.
When creating a unit
When the building is held at 100% with a certificate, units are covered and no further information is asked. Otherwise the Add a unit window asks for the unit's ownership share, the property deed (free for now) and the same sworn statement. See Create a unit.
Several owners
A rental can have several owners, each with a share. The accounting report shows each owner and their ownership share.
Confidentiality
Certificates and deeds are stored in a private folder: no direct link exists, they are only returned to a user authorised on the project, after login. They are never published with the listing.
